DEPOSITS, CANCELLATIONS & SERVICE FEES
Gratuity is NOT Included
Driver gratuity is discretionary. You may choose to give it directly to the driver or preset it in advance.
Rates / Service Fees
Flat base rates are factored by grouping all zip codes in and around the city which create different zone pricing. (Base rate may change due to cost of living increases)
Service Charges will be applied at the time of finalizing all services (this includes all admin fees, tolls, parking, permits, state DOT fees, etc. / will fluctuate based on current market).
A 1.4%-20% Fuel surcharge will be applied at the time of finalizing all services (Fuel surcharge % will fluctuate based on current fuel pricing).
Hourly Trips: (all hourly trips billed at “reserved hours” + any overages) Trips will round up in full hour increments
Hourly trips for sedans and SUV require a 2hr. minimum to book and run in a continuous time-frame.
Hourly trips for stretch limo and shuttle van require a 3hr. minimum to book and run in a continuous time-frame.
Hourly trips for sprinter van, and all other vehicles require a 4hr. minimum to book and run in a continuous time-frame.
All trips are billed from Garage to Garage based on vehicle hourly rate and will apply based on Google Maps travel time to/from location
Child Safety Seats
All child safety seats provided by Scorpion will have a $15.00 fee per seat. The Client is responsible for securing the seat in the vehicle.
Pet Travel Fee
All travelers with pets will incur $15.00 pet fee per pet. All pets must travel in carriers and cannot be free inside vehicles.
Early Bird & Red Eye Reservations
Any Reservation between 11:00pm - 1:00am & 4:00am - 5:59am will incur an extra $10.00 charge.
Any Reservation between 1:01am -3:59am will incur an extra $20.00 charge.
Holiday Travel Reservation booked for major Holidays will incur an extra $25.00 charge.
Complimentary Wait Policy
Residential, hotel & office pick-ups - 15 minutes
Domestic arrivals - 30 minutes from time of gate arrival
International arrivals - 60 minutes from time of gate arrival
Cruise arrivals - 60 minutes from scheduled pick up time
Extra Wait Policy (not applicable to hourly bookings)
Additional wait time is billed in 5 minute increment at $5.00
Extra Stops Policy (not applicable to hourly bookings)
Extra stops incur a $15.00 minimum charge per stop. Higher rates may apply based on actual distances.
Extra stops to drop off passengers at different airport terminals incur a $15.00 charge per terminal.
Extra stops to pick up passengers at different airport terminals incur a $15.00 charge per terminal.
Deposit Policy
Deposit amount is determined by the vehicle type hourly rate. All deposits are based on 50% minimum charge.
Multiple vehicle reservations require a deposit per vehicle. Deposits are processed at the time of the booking.
Cancellation & Trip Modification Policy - Airport & Point to Point Transfers for Sedans, SUV's, & Vans
Cancellations within 12 hours of the scheduled pick-up time are considered late cancels and billed at 75% of the reservation's total.
Cancellations within 6 hours of the scheduled pick-up time are considered late cancels and billed at the full amount of the reservation's total.
Modification to pick-up times within 3 hours are subject to a Rush fee or subject to wait-time charges (pick up time will remain the same and wait time will begin).
Cancellations on Hourly trips, Weddings & Multi-Vehicle Bookings Policy
Cancellations within 30 days of all vehicle options contract pick-up date is responsible for the 50% deposit(s) of the booked time-frame amount.
Cancellations within 15 days of all vehicle options contract pick-up date is responsible for the 75% deposit(s) of the booked time-frame amount.
Cancellations within 7 days of all vehicle options contract pick-up date is responsible for the 100% of the booked time-frame amount.

Current Regional Tri-State Travel Advisory
As of March 19, 2021, Governor Lamont’s Executive Order No.9S, Section 1 regarding travel is no longer in effect. Connecticut residents and travelers to Connecticut should follow travel-related guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the Connecticut Department of Public Health (CT DPH). Mandates and requirements are not currently in place in Connecticut.
COVID-19 Precautions & Risk Reduction Measures
Being an essential service, Scorpion Transportation Services has contingencies in place to ensure the continuation of our operations 24/7 during catastrophic events and have added additional services during this COVID-19 pandemic The health and safety of our passengers, employees, and partners are our highest priority and we are committed to providing the safest experience possible as we evaluate and adjust our operations to meet the evolving guidelines from the CDC and local government officials. As we continue to manage our way through this crisis, we are taking steps to proactively safeguard our operations and ensure the health and safety of our passengers and employees. We ask that you also do your part to protect others by wearing a mask and following these recommendations to stop the spread of COVID-19.
Per the Centers for Disease Control & Prevention (CDC) and government official guidelines, Hy's has implemented the following risk reduction protocols. As the situation is ever-changing and may evolve, please check back frequently for updates.
Health Screenings
90% of all Our employees (Chauffeurs & Office Staff) have been fully vaccinated!
All office employees and chauffeurs undergo temperature screening with no touch thermometer guns at the beginning and ending of each shift.
Employees are not permitted to work if they are displaying symptoms of COVID-19.
Chauffeurs have personal thermometers to check their temperature frequently and report real time results back to the office.
Employee Precautions & Preparation
Chauffeurs wear face masks and gloves at all times in the office and in the field.
Office employees wear masks at all times in the office and in the field and always work a minimum of six (6) feet apart.
Chauffeurs are equipped with disinfectant spray, hand sanitizer, hand
wipes, extra masks/gloves.
Chauffeurs will have complimentary disposable masks and hand wipes for clients if needed.
All employees are reminded daily to wash hands frequently and follow other risk reduction protocols at all times.
It will be the expectation that passengers will be responsible for providing a personal mask and maintaining social and physical distance from others. *5 actions you can take to protect others, help us keep each other safe and stop the spread!
Vehicle Sanitation & Cleaning
Vehicle interiors are thoroughly cleaned and disinfected with CDC recommended alcohol-based disinfectant before and after every ride, paying special attention to touch points, seating areas, armrests and door handles (interior & exterior).
Electrostatic sprayers with hospital-grade disinfectant are used to sanitize vehicle interiors and surfaces at the start of each day.
HEPA filters are installed in vehicles interior air filtration systems (​HEPA units have an efficiency rating of 99.995%, which assures a very high level of protection against ​airborne​ transmission).
Vehicle exteriors are cleaned daily.
Physical & Social Distancing
Plastic partitions are installed in all vehicles.
Passengers are prohibited from sitting in the front seat of any vehicle.
All applicable pickups must be "express/curbside" as chauffeurs are not permitted to enter airports, offices, residences, etc.
The maximum vehicle seating capacity for passengers will be subject to change and will evolve with the level of distancing requested by government officials and the CDC. Physical distancing mandates will be practiced and protected in and outside of all livery vehicles and charter buses. Capacity is being set at 50% for all vehicle types.
Physical contact and sharing of any items between employees, drivers and passengers is prohibited.
Buses will be loaded and unloaded on a first in, last out procedure. Capacity is being set at 50% for buses.
